Lightgap은 건축물의 소재들이 가진 질감을 강조합니다. Grazing light로 벽면을 쓸어내려주는 배광은 섬세한 목재와 콘크리트의 질감이나 거친 천연석이 가진 느낌을 더욱 도드라지게 표현할 수 있습니다. 이는 역사적 유물이나 종교적인 피사체를 돋보이게 할 경우에 유용합니다.
벽면을 부드럽게 비추어주는 일반적인 wallwasher와 비교해볼때 Lightgap은 빛과 그림자의 대비를 통해 입체적인 질감을 내는데 더욱 적합합니다.

비대칭적인 빛의 분포는 벽면에서 10cm정도의 거리만으로 벽면 전체를 균일하게 비추는 효과를 만들수 있습니다. 조명기구는 양방향으로 10도씩 틸트가 가능하여 설치 위치에 적합한 빛을 만들 수 있습니다.
수직면을 비추는 특별한 효과는 레스토랑이나 호텔의 아트월이 가진 표면의 질감을 극대화 하여 특별한 공간의 느낌을 만들어 내기에 가장 적합한 조명이라고 할 수 있습니다.

Grazing light wallwashers accentuate surface texture on walls

Lightgap emphasises the tactile qualities of architectural materials.
The grazing light wallwasher brings out the finest wood or concrete texture as exquisitely as rough surfaces such as natural stone, thereby enabling the luminaire to set off historic features or regional materials.
In contrast to conventional wallwashers which give walls a soft character, Lightgap adds an almost tactile dimension through high-contrast light and shadow

effects. With its asymmetrical light distribution, the grazing light wallwasher can be positioned up to 10cm close to the wall and still produce an exceptionally uniform beam. The luminaire can be tilted conveniently by up to 10° in both directions. The resulting special rendering of vertical illuminance combines strikingly illuminated texture for scenic effect with efficient room lighting for places such as restaurants and hotels.
