About Louis Poulsen
1924년 Poul Henningsen 은 Louis Poulsen을 위해 Paris lamp를 디자인을 하였습니다. 그리고 이는 지금까지 우리가 빛의 형태를 만드는 방식의 근원이 되었고, 디자인과 빛이라는 두 축에 대한 그의 시각을 되돌아 볼수 있습니다.
1984년 설립된, Louis Poulsen은 형태는 그 기능을 따른다는 스칸디나비안 디자인의 전통에서 나온 덴마크의 조명 제조회사 입니다. 제품의 기능과 디자인은 자연의 빛이 가진 리듬을 뒷받침하고 반영하는 방식에 맞추어 만들어 집니다. 디자인의 모든 디테일은 목적을 가지고 있습니다. 모든 디자인은 빛으로 시작하여 빛으로 끝나게 됩니다.

In 1924, Poul Henningsen created his influential Paris lamp for Louis Poulsen, and the origin of how we still design to shape light can directly be traced back to his views on the dualities of design and light.
Founded in 1874, Louis Poulsen is a Danish lighting manufacturer born out of the Scandinavian design tradition where form follows function.
